Carnival Cruise on the Ecstasy January 2011

January 28, 2011

We arrived in Galveston on the coldest day they had experienced this winter. It was 44 degrees, which was chilly but we were walking around Galveston’s Historic Strand without jackets. Keep in mind that a lot of the stores on the stand are open front shops, we went into one to look at the t-shirts and the young lady there was working with gloves on and had a heavy coat. So with that said the first day on the ship and also the second day were chilly compared to what we had experienced last year. Last year all chairs around the pool area were full with people sunbathing. This year a few had on shorts and sundresses, even fewer with bathing suits on and lots wearing jackets and sweatshirts. Winds were up so most passengers were staying inside.

The evening show day two in the Sapphire theater was a county show with the Ecstasy Dancers and Cruise Director, Steve, on the fiddle. Now Steve can get down on the fiddle, especially liked his performance of  “Devil Went Down To Georgia.”
